Sydney van Hooijdonk has taken a dig at the standard of Scottish football while revealing the 'truth' over links with a move to Celtic.
The striker, son of ex-Celt Pierre, was heavily rumoured to be on his way to Parkhead on loan in the January transfer window.
However, he eventually moved from Bologna to Norwich, with Adam Idah subsequently coming on loan to Glasgow.
The Dutchman admits no official talks took place between the Scottish champions and his representatives in the winter, but he did reveal there was contact last summer.
Van Hooijdonk admits he's a Celtic fan, however, his views of the Premiership are not particularly great.
Speaking to Pink Un, he said: "To be honest, I didn't speak with Celtic this winter.
"You see a lot of things, but this winter, I didn't speak with them. Yes, last summer, there was a bit. It is a lovely club, and I am a fan of them as well, but the Championship and a team that is fighting for the play-offs was really nice.
"This league is at a higher level than that league, so I'm really happy to be here."

Meanwhile, an unseen incident involving Adam Idah during Celtic's 7-1 hammering of Dundee last night sparked fears among the club's own TV channel.
Simon Donnelly and Peter Grant were worried that the Republic of Ireland striker has thrown a 'punch' during a heated exchange on the park.
Brendan Rodgers's side strolled the victory as they battered Tony Docherty's 10-man side. The champions led 6-0 at half time.
Idah, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Matt O'Riley, Daizen Maeda and Greg Taylor had the hosts up by five when the on-loan Norwich attacker was involved in a tussle with defender Ricki Lamie.
