Brendan Rodgers has ‘no regrets’ over his explosive blast at Scottish referees - with the Celtic boss set for a disciplinary hearing.
Rodgers, 51, issued a stinging rant directed at whistler Don Robertson and VAR official John Beaton following Celtic’s 2-0 away loss against Heart of Midlothian last weekend.
The Hoops were reduced to ten-men early into the first half at Tynecastle Park following a VAR review. And Rodgers blamed the outcome on ‘incompetence’, which breaches SFA rules, and claimed the decision could cost Celtic the Scottish Premiership title.
When asked if he had any regrets about his actions, he declared: “No, not at all. My job is to defend the team, defend the club and that’s what we will do in this case.
“We will defend it vigorously and when the date comes we will go from there. I will sit down with the club and the lawyers and we will look at it from there.”
