Simon Jordan claims Celtic's dominance over Rangers, and therefore the rest of the Scottish Premiership is a 'tragedy' for football in the country.

Brendan Rodgers and his players celebrated a 54th league title after a resounding 5-0 win over Kilmarnock last night.

Not only did the triumph signal their 12th title in 13 years, but it clinched three in a row for the Hoops.

Celtic are now just one behind Rangers' title record of 55, and will be aiming to go level with their bitter rivals next season.

As part of Celtic winning the league, their automatic space in next season's new-look Champions League format has also been confirmed. 

This will bring them riches of upwards of £40m, as the gap between them and the rest of the Premiership potentially could widen.

And former Crystal Palace owner Jordan believes their stranglehold over the domestic game in Scotland is a problem for the league.

talkSPORT host Jim White asked him if Celtic were now regarded as the Manchester City of Scotland.

He responded: "Well, five of those 13 years, Rangers weren't in the league. So they've won seven out of eight when Rangers have been participants which is a dominance. But hasn't it always been such? It's either Celtic or Rangers winning this league.

"This is the tragedy of the Scottish league and my disappointment with it about the quality of domestic football in Scotland. Where are the Aberdeens that once upon a time bestowed Europe? Where are the wonderful players that came out of Scotland?

"Where are the clubs that competed at the highest level? Where are these TV deals and revenues that go into Scottish football? Where are all these things? Where are the great players that came out of Scotland in the past?"
