Ange Postecoglou is well and truly on the Scotland bandwagon at Euro 2024 - and he believes Steve Clarke's men are a good bet to make history by defeating Hungary tonight.

The Tartan Army have descended into Stuttgart in their tens of thousands once again knowing that they are a positive result away from qualifying for the knockout stages.

Scotland have never escaped out their group at a major tournament yet a point against Switzerland on Wednesday gave them the golden opportunity to change that statistic this evening.

And former Celtic manager, Postecoglou, was left impressed with how the Scots bounced back from their opening game thrashing at the hands of Germany as they displayed their true selves by causing the Swiss a plethora of problems - particularly during the second half. 

"I have to declare I am on the Scotland bandwagon," he explained to ITV Sport. "I followed them for a couple of years when I was at Celtic, obviously.

"They obviously got blown away that first game. It's always hard that first game of the tournament - it could go either way. The hosts could be nervous but Germany were flying, and that is probably as passive as I have seen the Scottish team in quite a long time.

"The strength they showed in the second game is their capacity to run, with energy. If they can bring that they can cause any team problems. They have talked about making history, I think they are a good bet for that tomorrow."

The Spurs gaffer, who was making his Euros punditry debut on UK television, was then asked by host Laura Woods if he still misses the passionate fans up in Scotland. 

He replied: "I do. That is part of the reason I am on the bandwagon!

"When the national team plays they are great - and the good thing is that since Steve Clarke has taken over the team and represents them really well. It is a credit to them, and they will play a big part tomorrow."
