Signed at Celtic by Brendan Rodgers ahead of the 2016/17 Scottish Premiership campaign, Kolo Toure was nearing the end of his playing career.

With 17 appearances during the Irishman's first stretch in the Parkhead dugout, the defender called time on his career at the end of the club's 'Invincibles' treble trail.

Two stints as part of Rodgers' backroom staff then followed – one at Celtic between 2017 and 2019, and another at Leicester City between 2019 and 2022 – before the Ivorian was appointed as Wigan manager in November 2022.

Less than two months later, however, Toure was let go following a string of poor results.

Toure has now joined Manchester City as the club's Under-16s coach. Celtic, of course, will face the senior side during their USA Tour 2024.

Throwing back to Toure's playing days, however, the one-time Ivory Coast internationalist will be remembered for his iconic dressing room celebrations following Celtic's thrilling league title-winning 5-0 triumph over Hearts at Tynecastle.
