Kyogo Furuhashi has changed agents on the eve of the new Scottish Premiership season. 

The Celtic star had previously been represented by ‘MORE THAN SPORT GMBH’. However, in a shift that coincides with speculation linking the striker with an exit away from Parkhead, Kyogo has now been snapped up by CAA Base

Kyogo, who is contracted to Celtic until summer 2027, is currently Brendan Rodgers' only available senior striker after the recent departure of Oh Hyeon-gyu as well as the ongoing pursuit to bring loan sensation Adam Idah back to the reigning Scottish champions from Norwich City.

The announcement from CAA Base on Friday evening brought panic among some Celtic supporters - particularly because former boss Ange Postecoglou, who brought Kyogo to Scotland three years ago, is desperately seeking a new striker for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

He also happens to be associated with Kyogo's new agency. 

One social media comment read: "Doesn't make for great reading." 

A second pointed out: "Think it's the same agency as Ange Postecoglou, Heung-Min Son, James Maddison, Pape Sarr and Pedro Porro. Bit worrying really."

Another worried fan wrote: "Thanks for everything you done at Celtic. Enjoy your next club." 

While someone of Spurs persuasion said: "He couldn't be the forward we are working to sign..."
