Celtic's transfer pursuit of Adam Idah has been well-documented this summer. 

The player and the football club are eager to find a solution that will bring the Norwich City striker back to the Scottish Premiership. 

Idah, 23, scored nine times from 19 Celtic appearances, including a Scottish Cup winning goal against Rangers at the end of May. 

Currently, Brendan Rodgers only has Kyogo Furuhashi available as a senior striker, and he's made it clear that he'd love to see Idah, who is a Republic of Ireland internationalist, return to bolster his options.

Both Daizen Maeda and Mikey Johnston have filled in through the middle at times during pre-season in a temporary solution until more firepower is found.

Celtic had a bid of £4.5million for Idah turned down last month, yet remained hopeful the two parties could come to an agreement.

Now Sky Sports report the Hoops are back in contact with the English Championship outfit after coming back with an improved offer. 

It's believed that a total package of around £8million would be enough to let Norwich part ways with their centre-forward.
