Celtic are reportedly interested in acquiring Ajax left-back Owen Wijndal as manager Brendan Rodgers aims to strengthen competition for Greg Taylor's position.
The Scottish Premiership giants have been searching for an additional left-back since January, following an unsuccessful attempt to sign Owen Beck from Liverpool, who ultimately chose to return to Dundee for another loan stint.
Despite that setback, Beck does remain on Celtic's radar.
According to Sky Sports, the club has now approached Ajax regarding a potential move for the Wijndal. The report indicates that Ajax is open to offers for the 24-year-old defender, who has earned 11 caps for the Netherlands.
Additionally, it is noted that Werder Bremen has also expressed interest in the player, who spent the previous season on loan at Royal Antwerp in Belgium.
