Celtic look set to sign left-back Alex Valle on loan from Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.
Mundo Deportivo has reported that the La Masia product has recently renewed his contract with the Spanish giants, before agreeing on a move to the Scottish champions. According to the Spanish outlet, the Catalan giants have extended his contract until the summer of 2026, as it was due to expire in 2025.
The report also states that new Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has been deploying the full-back on the right despite featuring regularly on the left, having spent last season out on loan at Levante UD, where he made 29 appearances in all competitions for the Segunda Division side.

Celtic and Brendan Rodgers have been on the hunt for a left-back this summer, having been linked with the likes of Owen Beck and Jeffrey Schlupp of Liverpool and Crystal Palace respectively. Presently, they have only one first-team player in this position in Greg Taylor, who has enjoyed a stellar start to his season.
Celtic will pay Barcelona €1.5 million as a loan fee for the season, with an option to buy not mentioned in the report.
