Alfredo Morelos has been branded "stupid" by Celtic legend Scott Brown

Morelos, 28, was arguably a pantomime villain during his six seasons at Rangers, winding up opposition players and fans through his antics at times.

Brown, who won 22 honours throughout a 14-year spell at Celtic, cut a similar demeanour on the pitch, yet was clever about how he got inside his competitors minds.

Brown and Morelos had their fair share of feuds while battling it out for the Scottish Premiership title, with the former Celtic captain even carrying on the stirring up tactics whilst on Aberdeen's books before retiring in March 2022.

"That is probably the only booking I got that I didn't deserve," he told the Let Me Be Frank Podcast

"We had a go (at each other) right throughout that full season, but it was actually quite good banter. I liked somebody that gave me something back.

"It was the same with Morelos as well, but he fell for it that much...he was stupid to be fair. I was just sitting (𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻) there saying 'thank you big man'; the amount of times I would get him sent off - it was just stupidity from him.

(Image: SNS Group) "The game (Old Firm) gets you, the atmosphere, it does get you. It does get everybody because it's brilliant but some people fall into that.

"To be fair, I fell into it as well when I tried to headbutt Kyle Lafferty (in 2010). So, we all make mistakes!"
