After being brushed aside 7-1 by Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League last week, Celtic showed great resilience in overcoming Ross County 2-1 in Dingwall yesterday (Sunday).
Brendan Rodgers and his players went into the break trailing 1-0, before an unorthodox Alistair Johnston finish on 75 minutes (the player, by his own admission, got in the way of a Callum McGregor strike) pulled the visitors level.
With just three minutes of normal time remaining, a typically well-executed Nicolas Kuhn strike sealed the deal, preserving the Hoops' perfect start to the 2024/25 Scottish Premiership campaign in the process.
Borussia Dortmund, on the other hand, lost 2-1 to Union Berlin, illustrating the variance in performance levels European football's top tournament is capable of evoking game-to-game.
Celtic are still to play Atalanta (A), RB Liepzig (H), Club Brugge (H), Dinamo Zagreb (A), Young Boys (H) and Aston Villa (A) in the Champions League.
Heading into the latest international break, it was only a 10-man Young Boys who suffered defeat.
