Kick-off is fast approaching as Celtic prepare for another huge night of Champions League football.

Brendan Rodgers’ side face their second away test of the campaign tonight in Bergamo where they take on Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium.

Following a miserable 7-1 defeat in Dortmund last time out, the Hoops will be eager to avoid a repeat performance and prove they can mix it with Europe’s elite.

Despite facing criticism after a painful experience in Germany, manager Brendan Rodgers has refused to alter his approach in Europe, vowing his side will continue to “show our ability with the ball”.

Speaking to talkSPORT ahead of Celtic’s trip to Italy, Danny Murphy – who won the 2001 UEFA Cup with Liverpool – said: “I think Celtic are so used to dominating teams in games that maybe it is difficult to adapt quickly. But there has to be an effort to adapt.

“I kind of understand the Dortmund game a little bit, because Dortmund and conceded five the weekend before and they were all over the place.

“And I think he might have thought, ‘You know what, let’s go and have a go’. Because it’s a bit of a free hit Dortmund away, and it’s failed.”

Murphy continued: “After speaking to Brendan, meeting Brendan, the intelligent guy, the job he did, the jobs he’s done before, maybe he’s just trying to pull the wool a little bit in his interviews.

“I think we might see a different Celtic tonight and I just can’t see him going toe for toe.”
