Celtic are yet to confirm an extension with kit manufacturer Adidas, but recent leaks suggest it's all but a done deal from next season onwards.
Now, prolific football kit leaks site Footy Headlines reports Celtic are in-line for a modern day slant on the iconic 'bumblebee' away kit for the 2025/26 campaign, in turn bringing back a fan favourite with a modern twist.
The original yellow neon-and-black-hooped bumblebee kit, manufactured by Umbro, was released in 1996 and used for two seasons – spanning two generations of Celtic greats, worn by everyone from Pierre van Hooijdonk to Jorge Cadette, Paolo Di Canio and Henrik Larsson.
Nike launched their own slant on the template in 2009 during a forgettable, trophy-less season, with New Balance dropping a neon and black number a few years later that was sort-of similar but not quite the same.
Since partnering with Celtic, Adidas have been no stranger to reimagining old school Celtic kit designs, with the Love Street '86 throwback of 2020/21, and the early '90s-inspired black and green-pinstriped number of 2022/23 among the best designs we've seen in recent years.

Last week, we ranked the bumblebee among the retro-inspired kits we'd love to see revisited (With Adidas set to extend - here are 5 Celtic kits they should revisit), and given the kit's cult status, there are clearly plenty more Celtic fans who feel the same.
As well as a potential bumblebee kit next season, Footy Headlines also reports the Celtic home kit will feature some form of tartan in its hooped design.
With little to go on beyond that, the ever-inventive virtual kit creation crowd over on FIFA Kit Creator have already set to work in conjuring what could be in 2025/26 for the Scottish champions – have a gander at the designs they've drummed up between now and anything official from the club itself.
