RB Leipzig manager Marco Rose saw his side lose their fourth successive UEFA Champions League group-phase match 3-1 against Celtic at Parkhead last night (Tuesday).

Despite going in front on the 23rd minute, the home side pulled level with an outstanding Nicolas Kuhn strike before the German forward scored again just before half-time.

Into the second half and Reo Hatate capitalised on a goalkeeping error to put light between the sides as Celtic saw out the game to secure seven points from their four UCL games so far.

After the match, a deflated Rose said he was not at all surprised by how Brendan Rodgers and his players have recovered from their 7-1 defeat to Dortmund in Germany on Matchday Two while praising the Scottish champions' possession play over the course.

"I'm not surprised [at how they've recovered], and even in Dortmund they had some chances. Dortmund scored easy goals, two penalties. [Celtic] were really unlucky and then we in Germany know how it would go in Dortmund if they come in a flow, in a run.

"So knew about the quality of Celtic, [their] possession game is top, really good and fast players. We saw today all what we expected. The first five minutes showed everything [in terms of] what they tried to play."

Rose admitted his side may have done better when at 1-0 they failed to extend their lead on a couple of occasions.

He added: "But again, from the 10th to the 35th minute, we had it all in our hands.

"If you miss to score a second goal and you concede one, it can get difficult here with this atmosphere. A really good team, a top coach and disappointing for us."
