When Celtic return from the current international break, they play Hearts at Tynecastle in the Scottish Premiership. After that, it's back to Champions League fare – but one successful former Celt won't be returning to Parkhead.
That player is defender Dedryck Boyata, who's now plying his trade with Club Brugge, but is yet to play a single game for the Belgian Pro League outfit this campaign.
Reportedly one of the club's most well-paid players, the centre-back has fallen out of favour, said by Belgian media outlet GVA to have been relegated from the first-team set-up to the reserves, and now looking to move on.
As such, Boyata has not been registered for Brugge's Champions League involvement, with the next opportunity to register players being after the competition's league-phase.

As per stats site Trasfermarkt, Boyata has made just 26 appearances for Club Brugge since signing from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2022 – Berlin being the side he left Glasgow for in the summer of 2019.
Signed from Manchester City's academy in 2015, Boyata became an integral part of Brendan Rodgers' prolific side between 2016 and 2019, however it was widely reported the two did not see eye-to-eye by the time the Irishman departed for Leicester City.
At Celtic, Boyata made 135 appearances, scoring 15 goals and assisting nine times for his team-mates during that period.
