Liverpool could be setting their sights on former Celtic player Jeremie Frimpong to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold amid the right-back’s increasingly uncertain future at Anfield, according to a report in Germany.
Alexander-Arnold has been heavily linked with a move to join England teammate Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid, with the 26-year-old’s contract due to expire in the summer.

German outlet Bild has reported that Liverpool are considering Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong as a potential replacement should Alexander-Arnold make the switch to the Spanish champions.
Frimpong made 31 league appearances for Celtic after joining from Manchester City in September 2019 for £350,000, and was part of Neil Lennon's domestic treble-winning squad in 2019/20.
The 23-year-old Netherlands defender signed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga champions in January 2021 for an undisclosed fee reportedly rising to £11.5 million.
