The new season is almost upon us and as it draws nearer, optimism increases.
The frustration and disappointment of last year is being eased by the prospect of a fresh start under Ange Postecoglou, with new players, new ideas and a new style at the forefront.
While we want success after our first season without a trophy in a long, long time - patience from the support is essential.
The club have shown a good commitment to supporting the manager in bringing in much-needed reinforcements who can play the way the manager sets out.
With fans now getting back in to support the team, the stage is set for a revival and a major turnaround in fortunes.
The new signings are encouraging, and have strengthened the manager’s options already, but it’ll take time for them to settle into both life and work in Glasgow.
Players are expected to hit the ground running at Celtic, but patience will be key, even when it’s not easy.

Another factor to consider this season is that not only do we have new additions to the squad who will take time to adjust, but we stand to lose players who have played prominent roles during their time, such as Kris Ajer who looks to be departing for Brentford.
Although he comes in for criticism at times, the absence of Ajer at the heart of the defence will be a very noticeable one.
He's a player who understands the club he’s playing for and the pressures and expectations that come with it.
Guys such as Callum McGregor, now a veteran of this Celtic side, have an added weight of responsibility in ensuring that they lead by example and do all they can to bring success back to the club.
Younger players and recent additions will be looking to them for inspiration and leadership as we set about asserting our dominance and getting back to winning ways. T
he fans also expect the same, and while they’ll give their unwavering and phenomenal support as always, they won’t be forgiving of a lack of application and effort, especially in the wake of an utterly disastrous season on all fronts.
There’s no way of knowing exactly how things will unfold this season, but Tuesday night’s tie against FC Midtjylland will give us a taste of what’s in store, and give players the chance to nail down their place in the side, and set the standard for the entire season.
Let’s hope that they take it, and get back to what they’re used to: winning trophies.
