Joe Hart: The Celtic shot-stopper produced a wonderful one-handed save to turn Ayo Obileye's early effort round the post although he was rooted to the spot when the same player thundered a header off the crossbar just before the interval. He was well beaten by Andrew Shinnie's low drive but otherwise good. 8

Anthony Ralston: Ralston bombed forward at every opportunity and, although his delivery into the box in the first half lacked accuracy at times, he more than made up for that by producing the cross that led to the killer second goal. He was no slouch in the industry department either as both he and fellow full-back Greg Taylor bust a gut for the cause. 8

Cameron Carter-Vickers: The central defender really is a colossus and he spent much of the game advancing forward and setting up attacks as Livi dropped off. He looks every inch an accomplished defender and is comfortable in his own skin as he added to his string of impressive displays this season. The only blot on the copybook was the goal conceded from a long throw into the box, in which he was beaten to the second ball. 8

Carl Starfelt: He recovered well from an early shaky moment when he was robbed by Stephane Omeonga out on the touchline. The Swede thundered a magnificent header from Jota's corner that brought out the best in Livi keeper Max Stryjek but Daizen Maeda was on hand to profit from the rebound for the opener. Alongside Carter-Vickers, Starfelt might feel that they could have coped better with long throw that led to Anfrew Shinnie's goal. 8

Greg Taylor: The other half of the pair of full-back Duracell bunnies who like Ralston showed tremendous energy levels to get up and down the pitch and seemed to relish the challenge all afternoon. 8

Nir Bitton: More like Nir Beckenbauer. The Israel international was absolutely immense in the opening period and almost picked out the assist of the season with a wonderfully flighted pass to James Forrest. His game was on point and he was up to the speed with the tempo all afternoon in a massive contribution. 8

Callum McGregor: The skipper assumed the penalty responsibility in Josip Juranovic's absence and incredibly slammed a well-taken spot-kick off the post and then headed over from eight yards when he ought to have scored. He never let his head go down, though, and led by example as the team's inspiration once again. 8

Tom Rogic: The twinkle-toed Aussie picked a way through the Livi defence in the first half but fired tamely at Stryjek. He worked very hard off the ball in the opening period, and almost got his rewards when he tried to round the Livi custodian after Maeda sent him scampering clear on goal but was foiled. 7

James Forrest: The wide man was favoured in front of Liel Abada for this encounter and took a right sore one on his ankle as he tried to convert Bitton's world-class pass. Later, it was he who shunted the ball to Ralston for the low cross that was bundled into his own net by Nicky Devlin. Forrest then latched on to Jota's pass and expertly drilled home a deadly third. 7

Jota: Fizzed a beauty across the face of goal inside 10 minutes but there were no takers, but it showed that he looked really lively and in the mood from the off. He teased and taunted the Lions' rearguard in what was a welcome return to form for the Portuguese winger. Jota showed his class all afternoon and he had the beating of Nicky Devlin all day long and threaded a beautiful pass for Forrest to score the third. 8

Daizen Maeda: The striker was in the right place at the right time to head home the opening goal from close range. It was an instinctive goal that will do wonders for the Japanese hitman's confidence levels. He was also in the vicinity when Devlin turned the ball into his own net and he forced a great save from Stryjek's foot in the second half. 7

Substitutes

Giorgos Giakoumakis: Replaced Maeda on the 73rd-minute mark when the points were safe and rattled in a fierce effort that Stryjek did well to save. 3

Liel Abada: Given a 17-minute run-out for Forrest. 3
