Joe Hart: The Celtic goalkeeper made a fantastic save in 16 minutes from Nicolas Kuhn's header as he got down low to superbly keep it out and also saved well from Guido Burgstaller. However, he seemed to misjudge Cameron Carter-Vickers' back pass and the defensive mix-up led to the concession of a soft equaliser by Bernhard Zimmerman. 6
Osaze Urhoghide: The right-back started for the second pre-season game in a row in the continued absence of Josip Juranovic and Anthony Ralston. He looked slow to pick up and cover when Gerritt-Kuhn nipped in front of him and headed goalwards which Hart brilliantly saved. He was on the end of some physical challenges and did not receive much protection from the officials. He was the only player to emerge after the interval and was caught sleeping at the back post for the second equaliser. 5
Cameron Carter-Vickers: The Celtic central defender's bid to make the US team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar started shakily with the concession of a cheap free-kick just outside the box. He also lost his man when Burgstaller peeled off him to aim an effort harmlessly wide. It was his slightly overcooked backpass that put Hart under pressure and eventually led to the equaliser. Although it must be said he got to grips with the contest soon after and looked his normal calm and unflustered self. 6
Stephen Welsh: The 22-year-old partnered Cameron Carter-Vickers at the heart of the back four. The youngster was given more valuable minutes of first-team action. He read many situations well and got in some vital blocks and headed the ball away at vital times. 7
Alexandro Bernabei: The Argentine left-back got another opportunity to impress and he got up and down the park at will. His distribution and passing at times were erratic but hopefully that will come the more he tunes in to the same wavelength as his teammates. 5
Callum McGregor: The skipper returned to the starting line-up and was without his protective mask. It was the captain's burst of pace that drove him deep into the Rapid half when he fed Reo Hatate to create the first goalscoring opportunity for Jota. He seemed to be everywhere on the park and has limitless and boundless energy. 7
Matt O'Riley: The Denmark under-21 international is also hopeful of earning a World Cup berth and produced an exquisite two-touch finish for the opener in the ninth minute when he controlled at the edge of the box and passed the ball low into the corner with a neat left-foot curler. It was a real touch of class and he always looked very composed when he was on the ball. 7
Reo Hatate: A midweek goalscorer against SC Weiner Vicktoria and the midfielder who impressed most during Wednesday's 7-0 win. The 24-year-old brilliantly threaded the ball through for an early chance for Jota and displayed some real vision with some of his passing. He was another who was full of running, appearing to float effortlessly around the pitch. He was always comfortable and oozed quality whenever he was in possession. 8
Jota: The globetrotting has stopped and it was back to business for the Portuguese winger. He danced into life and fired an early drive straight at the goalkeeper after some great build-up play by Hatate. The wide man produced some electric bursts of speed and some wonderful skills down the flank whenever the ball was shunted his way as he eased himself back into first-team football. 7
Daizen Maeda: The Japanese winger was the recipient of a crude tackle by Aleksa Pejic which rightfully saw him receive a yellow card. He liked to play on the shoulder as Celtic tried to exploit the space in between the full-back and the centre-back and his pace will cause teams no end of problems this campaign. 7
Giorgos Giakoumakis: The Greek striker was charged with the task of leading the line. At one point he gave a lay-off to Hatate which was a fantastic piece of striker play. He is a real powerhouse and is going to be a force to reckoned with this season both in Scottish football and in the Champions League. 7
Second-half team
Scott Bain: The keeper replaced Hart at the interval and saved the initial header from Rapid Vienna's attacker but it left Rene Kriwak with the simplest task to head home the equaliser. He produced a great reaction to claw an effort out from the top corner but was beaten in the 90th minute as Rapid snatched a 3-3 draw. 6
Christopher Jullien: The Frenchman got another half to show that he is finally back to full fitness and came through it unscathed. He played a beautiful long ball into the space to find Kyogo, whose low accurate cross was swept in by David Turnbull. Jullien was, however, beaten in the air for the set-piece that led to the third equaliser right at the end. 6
Bosun Lawal: Got the opportunity to show the manager what he could do at the first-team level after a solid outing against SC Wiener Viktoria. He settled in well beside Jullien and looks accomplished enough and comfortable in the central defensive berth. 6
Greg Taylor: The Scotland full-back replaced Bernabei for his first taste of pre-season action and was keen to get involved in proceedings and did well when he came on. He linked the play ably at all times and continued from where he left off last season. 7
James McCarthy: Anchored the midfield in the second half and just patrolled the engine room without too much fuss. He is a no-frills, no-nonsense type of midfielder who does a lot of the dirty work that goes unnoticed at times. 6
Yosuke Ideguchi: Enjoyed a fine match against SC Weiner Viktoria and looks really keen to impress and make up for some lost time in a Celtic jersey. He didn't impose himself as much in this match but it is another valuable first-team appearance in his bid to get to grips and up to speed with the rest. 5
David Turnbull: One assist and one goal as the midfielder was in the right place at the right time to put the seal on a smashing three-man move involving Jullien and Kyogo when he stroked home from close range. He then returned the compliment to tee-up the Japan international after winning the ball deep in Rapid's half. 7
Liel Abada: The Israeli winger was on the front foot from the start of the second half and he did not neglect his defensive chores - which will have pleased his manager no end - but he could have been more of an attacking threat. 5
Kyogo Furuhashi: The Japanese striker wasted no time in hammering in an effort on target that was saved. What a run he made to find space and was found by Jullien's floated pass and the accurate low centre was expertly gobbled up by Turnbull. The attacker was coolness personified as he slid the ball home to put Celtic ahead again. He looked really sharp. 8
James Forrest: Still possesses a wee burst of pace when he needs to. Like Abada he flitted in and out of the contest and was not as effective as he can be in the wide areas from an attacking perspective. 5
