Joe Hart: The Celtic number one watched a Stevie May glancing header fall inches wide of the upright in the opening exchange. Such was his teammates' dominance that he was a total spectator in the opening period and it remained that way after the break and saved well from Stevie May but Drey Wright still snatched a consolation goal for the visitors. 7

Reo Hatate: He was deployed in a relatively unaccustomed role at right-back but had played there before in his J-League days so it wasn't totally unfamiliar territory for him. That didn't stop him from opening the scoring with a piledriver that took a slight deflection on its way into the net on inside quarter-of-an-hour. He slotted in seamlessly to right-back and with his attacking propensity, he was a potent weapon in the final third. He was rewarded with a second goal after a slick move following a deft touch from Callum McGregor and denied a hat-trick as he hit the outside of the post. 9

Cameron Carter-Vickers: A rock and tower of strength for Celtic at the back of the pack. He just grows in stature with every performance. He just looks so comfortable alongside central defensive partner Carl Starfelt. He even displayed some silly skills on the right wing that Jota would have been proud of. 8

Carl Starfelt: The Swedish defender really has come back from injury with a bang. His game awareness, positional sense and distribution have all been on point. He was denied a certain goal with some last-gasp Saints defending. 8

Greg Taylor: A real buzz bomb of energy in the inverted full-back role and was always looking to get involved. At one point he even smiled as he got ahead of the ball and it drifted out of play such was his eagerness to gallop forward. It was another top-drawer display from him. 8

Callum McGregor: "If you really understand football you understand how good he (Callum McGregor) is in terms of all the details." There is no higher accolade than that from a fellow team-mate as Matt O'Riley testified. The cameras should be trained on McGregor in every game as he should be a case study for every aspiring young footballer. The captain has taken his game to a different level altogether since taking the armband. What a role model and leader he is for this Celtic team and cushioned a beautiful pass for Hatate to score his second. 8

Aaron Mooy: He enjoyed a magnificent World Cup finals tournament with Australia and the impressive midfielder made a welcome return to the Hoops' first-team fold. He copped a yellow card for a foul on compatriot Ryan McGowan. He then helped set up Reo Hatate to make it 1-0 after a neat flowing move which saw the ball switched from left to right. What a defence-splitting pass he played to James Forrest akin to Anthony Ralston's pass to Liel Abada in midweek which led to Kyogo netting goal number three. 8

Matt O'Riley: "They (St Johnstone) were hard to beat. Like most teams in this league, they set up in a certain way to stop us rather than win the game in my opinion a lot of the time." The words of the midfielder ahead of this clash and he is now being deployed in his natural habitat of further up the field. He stroked an early first-time effort from McGregor's slide rule pass wide of the target when he really ought to have scored. He has eight assists to his name but no goals so far this season... yet. 7

Celtic Way:

James Forrest: The winger recently joined an elite list of Jimmy Johnstone and Henrik Larsson by contributing 100 goals and 100 assists for Celtic. He looked fresh and energised and his closing down was second to none as he never gave the visiting defence a minute's peace. Kyogo even took one off his toe as he tried to claim the third goal. It was his cross that led to Kyogo making it 3-0 before the interval and he was thwarted by Saints goalkeeper Remi Matthews early in the second half. 7

Kyogo Furuhashi: His talismanic goalscoring prowess showed no signs of abating as he went in search of number 13 for the season against the Saints. He was utterly convinced he had got it inside five minutes but his close-range header was adjudged not to have crossed the line. He supplied a carbon copy of his finish against Livingston by applying the killer back-heeled touch to make it 2-0 with a trademark near post run. He did it again from Forrest's cutback across the face to give the hosts a 3-0 lead as he knocked home number 14 for the campaign. 8

Daizen Maeda: He linked the play excellently well with Taylor and Mooy down the left flank and looked right in the mood. His electrifying pace is a vital asset and he used it to great effect in the first 45. The Japanese speed king gave Drey Wright a torrid time. There was a quickness of thought and movement from all three frontmen who brought fresh energy to the side. 7
