Joe Hart: The Celtic shot-stopper was starved of any action at all in the opening 45 minutes. He even sprinted out of his box at one point to head clear as he was desperate to get involved in the action. He had one slack pass after the interval when he was short with an intended pass and another moment when he was caught well out of his box which caused some consternation in the back line. 6
Alistair Johnston: Chalked up another highly impressive performance in his early Celtic career. He was competent in everything that he did defensively. He also headed an effort narrowly over the crossbar at one stage as the Canadian went in search of his first Celtic goal. 8
Cameron Carter-Vickers: "The message in every game is to make this the best team performance and individual performance that you have ever played. That's largely what we focus on and I think that is why we maintain such consistency in performances and results." If ever a statement summed up an individual player as well as the team then it was this one. The American international defender was flawless again and you have to hand it to him and his central defensive partner for always being alert and maintaining high concentration levels at all times. 8
Carl Starfelt: Between Carter-Vickers and himself they have conceded just seven goals at Celtic Park this season and it is easy to see why. The Swede has his detractors among the faithful but he is a highly consistent and accomplished defender and he added another clean sheet to his tally. 8
Greg Taylor: His part in the second goal for Hatate cannot be underestimated. It was the manager's inverted full-back system working to a tee as Taylor drifted into the midfield position and threaded an exquisite pass into Hatate whose quick feet and even quicker brain did the rest. His distribution was on point all game and some of his more intricate passes inside the defence especially to Maeda were a joy to watch. 8
Callum McGregor: Captain fantastic was the match-winner the last time the two sides met at Pittodrie back in. It was the skipper who led by example when he smashed home from the edge of the box with a sweet low strike after just two minutes to open the scoring for the hosts to take his tally to three for the campaign. Alongside Hatate he absolutely bossed the midfield and ran the show. 8
Reo Hatate: He brilliantly jinked and danced his way into the penalty area and sold the Aberdeen defence a dummy without actually touching the ball before tucking away a peach of an effort with real aplomb inside the opening 12 minutes. The Japanese midfielder's positional awareness and ability to drift into pockets of space and pick out his teammates in tight areas is second to none. He showed real composure and skill to bag a double for the second consecutive week to take his tally to eight for the season so far. 9
Matt O'Riley: Capped a great cameo last weekend when he cracked home his first goal of the season and he was rewarded for that by being reinstated to the starting eleven due to an injury to Aaron Mooy. He almost made it two in two games when his right foot drive was beaten away by Aberdeen goalkeeper Jay Gorter. 6
Jota: The Portuguese winger certainly looked in the mood. He was denied a third goal when Gorter jabbed out a vital leg to clear from his boot and he got set to pounce. He cracked in a 20-yard shot after being superbly picked out by Hatate that was saved by Gorter but it would have been flagged for offside. 7
Oh Hyeon-gyu: Ange Postecoglou made a huge pre-game call by handing the Korean striker his first start in place of Kyogo Furuhashi. He got off the mark last weekend against St Mirren and was involved in the build-up for Hatate's goal to make it 2-0. The 21-year-old attacker put himself about a fair bit and showed some strength in possession. 6
Daizen Maeda: There is no such thing as a lost cause when this guy is around. A real buzz bomb of energy and he is every defender's nightmare. The Japanese wide man has a fantastic engine and VAR stopped him from earning his side a penalty when he robbed Jonny Hayes in the box and was fouled but the decision was rescinded due to an earlier offside on Jota. 7
Substitutes
Sead Haksabanovic (O'Riley 63): The Montenegrin came on for O'Riley just after the hour mark and he tried to make a real impact. He fired one just over the crossbar and he dragged another chance past the post before excellently setting up fellow substitute Liel Abada for his counter. 6
Liel Abada (Jota 63): Replaced Jota for the final 27 minutes or so and cracked home a superb fourth after some great work by Sead Haksabanovic. 5
Tomoki Iwata (Maeda 63): The January signing was given some more invaluable game-time. 4
Kyogo Furuhashi (Hyeon-gyu 71): Completed his recovery from injury when Oh made way for the striker for the closing 20 minutes or so. It also gave him a runout ahead of the League Cup final at Hampden Park next weekend.
James Forrest (Hatate 79): Thrown on for the last 10 minutes when the points were safe.
Substitutes not used: Scott Bain, Yuki Kobayashi, Alexandro Bernabei, James Forrest, Anthony Ralston.
