Joe Hart: The Celtic goalkeeper made a quite superb double save midway through the opening period when he got down to parry Toby Sibbick's low drive on the turn and then he punched the rebound away from the sliding James Hill. However, he was unhappy with Hill's attempt to force home the loose ball. 8
Alistair Johnston: He got absolutely steamed in from the off and thundered into challenges. The Canadian is fast earning cult hero status because of his commitment to the cause. It was his cross that led to the killer second goal right on 45 minutes for Kyogo Furuhashi. 8
Cameron Carter-Vickers: What a ridiculous first-half pass he picked out to send Sead Haksabanovic in the clear as he added another cultured defensive display to an ever-burgeoning showreel. Nobody was laughing at him this week for his poor distribution. The American just reads the game fantastically well but did cop a booking for a low reckless challenge on Stephen Kingsley. It was he who headed home the third to put a more emphatic gloss on the scoreline. 8
Carl Starfelt: He would have breathed a huge sigh of relief when the assistant's flag was raised after Josh Ginnelly had escaped his clutches before firing over. The Swede was enjoying a fantastic good old-fashioned tussle with the Hearts attacker but was replaced at the interval by Yuki Kobayashi due to injury. 6
Greg Taylor: He was the unlikely match-winning hero the last time the two sides met at Tynecastle in a seven-goal thriller. The player of the year contender was restored to the side in place of Alexandro Bernabei. He was on hand to mop up the danger when Hearts threatened and squared the ball across the face of the Celtic goal. 8
Callum McGregor: A total footballer but he is certainly no slouch in the dark arts department. He let Jorge Grant know all about it as he took some divine retribution on the Jambos midfielder after Orestis Kiomourtzoglou had cemented Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatate within seconds of each other. The skipper was alongside Mooy and Hatate at his inspirational best and always had a firm grip of the engine room and stopped Hearts from breaking on numerous occasions. 8
Aaron Mooy: The Australian international can do no wrong at the moment and he crashed home an absolute beauty inside two minutes when he produced a clinical one-touch finish after brilliant play by Jota. He possesses outstanding vision at times and really does have a keen eye for a pass even in tight areas. Good players always make space and time and he did that at all times. An excellent display. 9
Reo Hatate: Ange Postecoglou reinstated the Japanese midfielder at the expense of Matt O'Riley and he blasted in an effort within 60 seconds that Zander Clark had to tip over the crossbar. He forced Clark into another save when he somehow kept out his close-range effort. Hearts found it extremely difficult to cope with how Hatate, Mooy and McGregor were all breaking through the lines and threading cute passes through to the attacking trio. 8
Jota: He waltzed down the right flank and pulled an accurate low cutback to Mooy who lashed home an early opener. It was slick and devastating attacking play from Celtic. The Portuguese wide man looked in the mood from the off and certainly had the beating of Kingsley whenever he took him on. He was also involved in the move that led to the second goal as he fed Johnston. He smashed an effort off Clark's mid-riff and another into the side-netting as Celtic went in search of a third after the restart. 9
Kyogo Furuhashi: Once again his running and movement off the ball were utterly sublime and Celtic failed to pick him out on numerous occasions. However, Hearts didn't heed any prior warnings and just as they switched off moments before the break Kyogo switched on. Lo and behold Johnston found the striker in space with a low cross and he had expertly and impudently flicked home at the near post to make it number 26 for the season for a crucial goal in the context of the game. It was a predatory striker's finish. 8
Sead Haksabanovic: He was rewarded for his goal against the same opposition in midweek with a starting berth. Sadly for the Montenegrin, he couldn't replicate that form or got himself into scoring positions and he woefully wasted a Carter-Vickers assist when a lot more composure would have set Celtic clean through on the hosts' goal. He made way for Liel Abada on 58 minutes. 6
Substitutes
Yuki Kobayashi (Starfelt 46): A rare outing for the Japanese centre-back who came on for the injured Starfelt at the break. He certainly didn't look out of place and strolled through what could have been a tough 45 minutes. 6
Liel Abada (Haksabanovic 58): Handed a 30-minute run out as he replaced Haksabanovic and drifted in and out of the play.
Matt O'Riley (Mooy 76): Given a 14-minute cameo in place of the impressive Mooy and he floated the free kick over from which Carter-Vickers headed home to make it 3-0.
Oh Hyeon-gyu (Kyogo 76): The South Korean attacker came on for the last quarter of an hour but the game looked dead and buried as a contest by then.
Tomoki Iwata (Hatate 81): Came on for the closing 10 minutes.
Substitutes not used: Scott Bain, David Turnbull, Alexandro Bernabei, Anthony Ralston.
