Celtic striker Kyogo is rated doubtful for Saturday's match against Rangers at Ibrox.

Ange Postecoglou's back-to-back champions need only avoid defeat against the Light Blues to register an unbeaten season in all of their six meetings with their city rivals.

Kyogo notched his 30th goal of the season as Celtic wrapped up the title with a 2-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle last weekend.

The 28-year-old was replaced by Korean attacker Oh Hyeon-gyu after injuring his shoulder when he stumbled off the park. Oh then made his presence felt by scoring the clinching goal against the men in maroon.

Postecoglou revealed that Kyogo's recurring shoulder problem could mean that he misses out on taking part in the final Glasgow derby of the season.

The Aussie said: "He hurt his shoulder a little bit. Hopefully, it's not too bad. He's had a few issues with it. We will just see and speak to the physios."

With Scottish Cup final places up for grabs is this the perfect time for Oh to be cut loose at Ibrox?

Meanwhile both Kyogo and Jota have been shortlisted for the goal of the season competition.

Kyogo's long-range sidefooted effort came in the 9-0 destruction of Dundee United at Tannadice back in August, while Jota makes the shortlist for his exquisite clipped effort against Rangers in the 4-0 win last September at Celtic Park.

Finally, Celtic will face Ange Postecoglou's old side Yokohama F. Marinos in their first game of their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea.

The champions have confirmed they will take on the J-League side on Wednesday, 19 July at 11am UK time inside the 72,000-seater Nissan Stadium.

Postecoglou left his role at Yokohama to join Celtic in the summer of 2021 and it will be another emotional occasion for the Australian as well as former Marinos stars Daizen Maeda and Tomoki Iwata.

The 57-year-old said: " I’m delighted to be taking Celtic to Japan this summer and it’s a tour made even more special by the prospect of facing my old team, Yokohama F Marinos.

"It’s a great club that holds some special memories for me and I look forward to meeting up with friends there in July."

Maeda was also delighted at the news saying: "I’m really looking forward to our pre-season visit to Japan and in particular, returning to play against Yokohama F Marinos.

"It is a club which has played a major role in my career and, of course, it will be a pleasure to return home with Celtic and see my friends at the club and the Marinos supporters.”
