Celtic face Inverness on Saturday June 3 in the Scottish Cup final.

A world record eighth domestic treble awaits Ange Postecoglou's men should they be successful.

Inverness have claimed Celtic's scalp before in the cup - just ask John Barnes (2000), Martin O'Neill (2003) and Ronny Deila (2015).

Celtic are the overwhelming favourites for this one with even opposition boss Billy Dodds admitting that the Championship side are up against it.

Dodds said: "This competition’s all about miracles and they do happen. We’re going there with the mindset we can win the game. I think people remember the fairytales."

Despite the high scoreline predictions by many the Aussie will never allow complacency to creep in.

Not on his watch. Complacency won't derail Celtic's world record treble bid.

Postecoglou revealed that he is desperate to etch his name into the annals of Celtic club history alongside the likes of Jock Stein, Martin O'Neill, Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon by winning a domestic treble.

He said: "That's our goal, we've got to win this cup. I'm not going to pass up the opportunity to do something special, to win a treble.

"I know people have done it and greater things but I'm not going to look past that. I really want us to finish strong.

"It's not going to be an easy game, it's a cup final. We're determined to get it done."

The 57-year-old has admitted that this summer's transfer window will be akin to a high stakes game of Jenga as he attempts to make Celtic Champions League group stage ready for the second seasion running.

The Aussie is hoping to slot more players into his side but is bracing himself for pieces to be removed from the beautiful house as long as the last two years work does not come crashing down all around him.

Postecoglou said: "That’s always the challenge. This is the probably first window where we’ll really get tested on some of our key players by other clubs.

"Our planning is in place, so if that happens, it’s like the Jenga puzzle, before it all collapses we’ll hopefully already have a piece in place to ensure you can take one out and still build strong.
