In what will be an unusual occurrence over the next few months or so, Celtic do not have a midweek game this week to contend with.
Indeed, a full seven days will pass between their last game - Saturday's 3-0 win over Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena - and their next one against Motherwell at Fir Park.
For Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, this will give him and his coaches some time to properly work with the players on the training ground ahead of the weekend. It also gives the players plenty of time to recover, following over 90 minutes of gruelling football on Livingston's plastic surface.
This weekend, Celtic will return to grass at Motherwell's home ground, against a side who were unlucky not to take anything from their Ibrox encounter with Rangers last Sunday. Under the management of Stuart Kettlewell, the North Lanarkshire side sit fourth in the table with 10 points, in what has been a positive start for the former Ross County manager. After encouraging signs against Celtic's greatest rivals, he will be hoping for more of the same against Rodgers' side.

Meanwhile, former Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc has been glowing in his praise of injured defender Maik Nawrocki, as the player continues his recovery following his hamstring injury against Kilmarnock last month.
Nawrocki - a former teammate of Boruc at Legia Warsaw - was Celtic's most expensive acquisition of the summer, arriving for a fee of £4.3 million. The iconic goalkeeper - speaking to the Sunday Post - believes the 22-year-old will be a mainstay in the heart of defence for Celtic.
He said: "It’s very unfortunate that Maik is injured right now. But I think he can be very successful for Celtic.
"He has had a good upbringing in football, from his early days in Germany right through. “He reads the game well and is composed on the ball. He can also tackle. He has been involved in many of the Polish international set-ups and can go further.
“I wish him well at Celtic and think he will do very well. I hope he is back from injury soon and can help the club bring success this season.”
