Everything the Celtic winger said to the media after his side's 1-0 win over Rangers in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday...

In terms of today, that’s another medal. I know that every time you win you get asked about the total. Is that list of achievements starting to hit home?

I think it maybe hit home when we won the league and we went back to Celtic Park. All of the fans were there and we were talking on stage after and about how many we’ve won. It’s unbelievable and it’s hard to put into words how good it is when you win trophies here and start racking them up. We’re working hard to try and add to that as well.

Give us an idea of the position and the mindset that you’re in and the confidence you’ve got going into the Scotland side. It must have seemed so far away to you back in January.

Even in March in the international break, I was playing a bounce game with the players that don’t go on international duty at Lennoxtown. It just shows you in football that if you keep working hard, you’ll get a chance and things can change. I’ve played for Scotland before, so it’s not anything new, but the way it’s happened. I think with Scotland it’s all about going there with confidence and we can all feed off of each other.

How much will you relish the Euros, James?

I think I’m just going to be like what I’ve been with Celtic over the past couple of months, just the same. I’m going to enjoy every day and not even look to the Euros but to the friendlies and just enjoy training and being a part of it. I think that’s when I play really well, to be honest.

Did you always feel that you can get back in the Scotland squad? Did you have that desire to get back in?

I think it always comes down to when I was 18, right until now. I think when you’re playing well for your club and playing for Celtic, then you’ve got a really good chance to be in the Scotland team. They’ve done really well in qualifying in a tight group there. I think that I can add to that and help the boys as well.

You’ve been in Glasgow as a player here for a long time. There seems to have been a lot of noise on social media for the last couple of weeks. Is this a Celtic team that does their talking on the park?

I think it’s been like that for years, to be honest. When Broony (Scott Brown) was captain, and then Callum (McGregor) has taken over, and it’s been exactly the same. Joe Hart too. I think we’ve got a lot of humble players and experienced heads in the changing room and that comes through every manager as well. We’ve obviously celebrated a few times but we’ve never overdone it, and I think that’s why we’ve been successful for the past few years.

The manager said that he’s told the board that he wants Adam Idah to be here next season. How much would the players like to see him here long-term?

I think as soon as he came, he fitted in really well. He knew Liam Scales and Mikey Johnston at the time. After his first game, you could see that he had what it takes to play for Celtic. I think he’s been a great addition because he’s different to the way that Kyogo plays. He’s fitted in really well in the changing room and on the park as well. I think everyone would be delighted if he stayed.

He gives you something different, doesn’t he?

I think you saw it when the manager changed it against Kilmarnock as well last week. He can play in a different way and score goals as well. I think it’s good to have two strikers that are different.
