After missing out during more recent international call-ups, Kyogo Furuhashi has been invited back into the Japan national team fold.
Hajime Moriyasu's side play Indonesia in a World Cup qualifier later today (Friday, 12noon kick-off time UK), and Japanese media outlets are hopeful the Celtic forward can transfer the qualities he's demonstrated in the Scottish Premiership and Champions League to the international stage.
The Japan News said (translated via Google): "The decision to reintegrate Furuhashi into the squad reflects a strategic move to bolster Japan's attacking options. His experience in European competitions provides a valuable edge."

Kyogo's call-up sees him travel with team-mates and countrymen Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate.
In 16 matches across all competitions this season so far, Kyogo has netted six goals and assisted three times for his Celtic team-mates.
To this end, Asahi said: "Furuhashi's consistent goal-scoring ability at Celtic has been instrumental in his recall to the national team.
"His agility and precision in front of goal are assets that Japan aims to leverage in the [World Cup] qualifiers."
