CELTIC have recalled striker Jonathan Afolabi from his loan at Ayr.
The 22-year-old has returned to Celtic after spending the first-half of the season in the Scottish Championship.
Afolabi made 16 appearances for the Somerset Park side netting once and providing one assist.
But he has been recalled by Celtic, with Ayr confirming the news with a post on social media.
It read: "The Club can confirm that Jonathan Afolabi has been recalled by his parent club, Celtic.
"Everyone at the Club thanks Jonathan for his efforts during his time at Somerset Park and he leaves with best wishes for the future."
Afolabi had been frequently involved in the first part of the season but his opportunities have been limited since with his last outing coming on Boxing Day.
The striker has already found a new club as he joined Airdrie until the end of the season.
Diamonds boss Ian Murray said: “Jonathan is a big physical striker who has gained good experience on loan.
“He’s a left-footed player with great power, and he’ll bring us something different in the forward areas.
“We look forward to working with him and would like to thank Celtic for their co-operation again.
“I’d also like to thank our own board for helping in adding to our squad in a very important period. The support is appreciated.”
