Kyogo has remained coy about his future at Celtic.

The Japanese star admits he would like to stay at the club for as long as possible.

However, at the same time, the 28-year-old concedes that no one can predict the future.

The striker scored a sensational 34 goals in all competitions last term, which led to him claiming various Player of the Year awards in recent months.

Since Ange Postecoglou's summer exit to Tottenham, the diminutive forward has subsequently been linked to join him in North London.

No official bids have been made yet, but reports have suggested that Spurs are looking at a £20million offer for him, with Burnely also believed to be keen.

Jota will leave Celtic this month as he looks to swap Glasgow for an eye-watering sum of money in Saudi Arabia. 

So, there's little doubt that Brendan Rodgers will not want to lose Kyogo upon his return to the Hoops.

The striker's latest quotes could leave Rodgers feeling optimistic, though.

Kyogo wrote in Japanese outlet Sponichi: “As I keep scoring goals and Celtic continues to win.

"I’ve heard that news was released in Japan that the level of Scottish Premiership is recognised as 'not high'. Certainly, top teams play very good football, but Celtic also had a lot of tough games.

"It’s natural for various people to have various opinions. But on the contrary, it means that people are paying attention to my play and Celtic, so I think about it positively.

“I actually have valuable experiences at Celtic, and Celtic is a club with great history. There are many players who want to play here for as long as possible, including me.

"But no one knows the future. Players may be injured or are transferred. And some players may be retiring. I never know about my future, so I just want to enjoy every moment at Celtic.

"But I still have room for development. I want to be a player who can score more goals. I will continue to work hard next season so that I can become a more powerful player."
