Former Celtic winger Regi Blinker feels Celtic can "outplay" Feyenoord in midfield.

The 54-year-old, who played for both sides, feels the Dutch club do not have a lot of great individual players but are an excellent unit.

And while he thinks the hosts are favourites, Blinker believes the Hoops can hurt the Eredivise side.

He told Sky Sports: "It is a very, very intelligent team. There is a lot of movement, they have a few very strong players in terms of scoring goals.

"They won 6-0 the last game and six different goalscorers so it makes it difficult to point out someone.

"The striker (Santiago) Gimenez is one of the star players but he's not playing. If I would have to point something out, it has to be the back four.

"The back four is very solid, you can trust them and they play with a lot of discipline. Midfield is the only area where I say maybe there is a chance for Celtic to outplay the (Feyenoord) midfield players and then in front, there is going to be a lot of movement because you have two wingers and a striker.

"But they can also play out in the sides or the middle. They are in a good spell. They are confident and in a good mood for this game."
