With Nicolas Kuhn in Glasgow to complete his transfer to Celtic, the club's attention has now turned to Brendan Rodgers' next signing priority.

The German winger completed his medical ahead of the switch from Rapid Vienna yesterday. This was carried out in London before he travelled north to finalise a long-term deal at the Scottish champions.

It's believed the Hoops will pay around £3m plus add-ons for the 24-year-old, who played for Ajax and Bayern Munich in his youth days.

Kuhn could be available in time to play some part in Sunday's Scottish Cup fourth-round tie against Highland League minnows Buckie Thistle.

With the winger almost in the building, Brendan Rodgers, who has taken a more hands-on approach to recruitment this January, is looking to secure a striker to help ease the burden on Kyogo up top.

The Daily Record reports this is now his priority, with a number of loan options being investigated by the club's recruitment team, which is led by Mark Lawwell.

A number of strikers at Premier League clubs have been looked at.

Celtic would be willing to buy if a deal to sign a striker was right this month, however, a loan is the more likely option.

Daizen Maeda and Oh are currently away on Asian Cup duty with Japan and South Korea respectively, leaving Kyogo as the club's only recognised striker.

The attacking duo could be away on international duty until February depending on their nation's performance.

In addition to a striker, a left-back is also an area Rodgers is closely examining, with Alexandro Bernabei said to be available should any offers arrive.

Liverpool's Owen Beck, who impressed during the first half of the season on loan at Dundee, has been linked with a move, while Estoril’s Thiago Araunjo remains on the radar.

The report also states that a goalkeeper remains a long-term target for Celtic. Andriy Lunin and Elfsborg’s Icelandic No. 1 Hakon Valdimarsson are two names quoted.
