Celtic midfielder Paulo Bernardo has opened up on the message from manager Brendan Rodgers amid a recent dip in form.

The Scottish champions left it late to beat Hibernian 2-1 at Easter Road thanks to a second penalty from Adam Idah.

This came after a 1-1 draw with Aberdeen which led to Rangers closing the gap at the top of the to three points with a game in hand.

But Bernardo insists the Parkhead side are improving all the time.

He said: "They will teach us how to make us better. We had a great time before the break and we have to replicate that level.

"That comes with confidence and playing more games. I think we are playing better each game and we just need to keep going."

The 21-year-old is on loan from Benfica until the end of the season, with Celtic having an option to buy included in the deal.

And the Portugal under-21 international detailed the similarities of playing for both clubs.

"We are at Celtic, a big club," he continued. "We have to win all of the games that we participate in. In Benfica, it happened too, so I think all of my youth teams in Benfica were like that also.

"I think they are quite similar clubs and the demands are to win every game. In Benfica, it is the same."
