Former Rangers forward Josh Windass has claimed Celtic's away allocation at Ibrox was initially cut because they "kept winning".
The ex-Ibrox player weighed in on the fan situation at the derby encounter as he appeared on football podcast Pitchside.
Windass - who spent two years in Glasgow - has claimed Rangers first cut allocations because Celtic kept winning.
The forward - now at Sheffield Wednesday - played 11 times against Celtic for Rangers but didn't win once. He lost nine times and drew twice.
And Windass reckons that record played into the awkward fan scenario with lockouts for away fans at both Celtic Park and Ibrox in recent seasons.

But despite his own experience of the fixture, Windass did brand the rivalry as the "most intense derby in the world".
He commented: "It's genuinely the most intense derby in the world but now they've stopped the away crowd, it's not good.
"I think they did it because Celtic kept winning genuinely, then Rangers cut the allocation and then Celtic was like we'll cut it as well."
