Celtic will discover at the end of the season what Norwich City's stance on Adam Idah is this summer, according to a report.

The Republic of Ireland international joined the champions on loan in January.

The powerful frontman has five goals from his 10 appearances in all competitions. 

The 23-year-old has come up with some big moments in a Celtic shirt, with fans showing some resistance towards the signing at first.

Some have admitted they'd be keen to see him return to Parkhead in the summer but on a permanent basis. 

However, Football Scotland states that Celtic will need to wait a while before figuring that situation out.

There is no set fee for any potential permanent deal, with a straight loan the basis of the agreement between Celtic and Norwich during the winter window.

Sydney van Hooijdonk arrived at Carrow Road which in turn allowed Idah to leave to join Celtic.

And it's reported that Idah will not be sold until the Dutchman proves his worth at the Championship club.

Another factor in the situation is that Norwich could well find themselves in the Premier League once more if they gain promotion via the play-offs.

So, if Idah is a player that Rodgers would like to pursue longer term, then Celtic could be made to play the waiting game on that one.

Meanwhile, Ally McCoist has been heavily criticised for his comments relating to the new hate crime act which came into force in Scotland this week.

The Rangers legend made his remarks while looking ahead to this weekend's crucial derby fixture between his former club and Celtic.

Philippe Clement's side will host the champions at Ibrox on Sunday lunchtime, with the third installment of the derby this season promising drama aplenty as the title race looks set to go down to the wire.
