Joe Hart 6

An unlikely assist-provider for Celtic's opener in a largely quiet first half. Smart double stop from Fabio Silva but no chance of stopping James Tavernier's penalty. Could only watch as Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo found the top corner.

Alistair Johnston 6

In a real battle with Fabio Silva all afternoon but managed it fairly well. Booked for blocking his opponent in the first half then somewhat unfortunate to concede a penalty as he looked to pull out fo a challenge in the second. Perhaps lucky not to be sent off after John Beaton point to the spot.

Liam Scales 6

Has his quality endlessly questioned but proved his resolve again at Ibrox. Wasn't overawed by the occasion and was more than up for a physical contest with Cyriel Dessers.

Cameron Carter-Vickers 7

Colossal for Celtic - the solid foundation Celtic's success is built upon. In cruise control in first half and stood up to the pressure in the second. Totally composed on the ball and willing to throw himself in front of it when required.

Greg Taylor 6

Largely neat and tidy throughout but far more emphasis on his defensive duties than during forward. Had the beating of Scott Wright but struggled at times when Sima was on. 

Tomoki Iwata 7

A strong presence in midfield. Did his job in anchoring the midfield allowing his team-mates the freedom to go forward in the dominant first period. Influence lesser in the second half.

Matt O'Riley 7

A classy footballer with a goal befitting of his style and poise. Showed character to dink the ball down the middle from penalty. Another who strolled it in the first 45 minutes but level dropped a little after the break. Booked.

Reo Hatate 8

The best player on the park at Ibrox. So, so important for Celtic as he pulled the strings. Quality and composure on the big stage, could have scored on another day. Celtic faded as a result of his substitution. 

Daizen Maeda 7

Fired his side into the lead after just 21 seconds in bizarre circumstances as he blocked James Tavernier clearance. Lauded for his energy and pressing but showed his importance at Ibrox. Booked.

Nicolas Kuhn 6

Given the nod ahead of Yang for his first taste of action against Rangers. Industrious on the wing but real threat was carried on opposite flank. Booked.

Kyogo Furuhashi 6

So often the goal hero for Celtic against Rangers, a different role at Ibrox. The Japan forward spearheaded the Celtic press and was relentless in his quest. Linked play well enough when he dropped deep.

Callum McGregor (for Hatate, 65) 2

Not fit by any stretch. Gave ball away and then saw Rangers leveller deflect off him.

Yang (for Kuhn, 65) 3

Largely anonymous but allowed Rabbi Matondo onto right to score equaliser.

Adam Idah (for Kyogo, 69) 6

Looked to have scored the winner with well-taken finish with only real sight of goal.

Paulo Bernardo (for O'Riley, 82) 2

On for last ten minutes plus stoppage time.
