Neither Celtic or Rangers tend to dip into the Scottish market too much.
But Sir Rod Stewart is urging the Hoops to sign a Premiership star following a glittering season in the top flight.
Dundee midfielder Luke McCowan has caught the eye of many, with nine goals so far this season for Tony Docherty's side.
The 26-year-old started out at Ayr United before earning a move to the City of Discovery nearly three years ago.
McCowan will come up against Celtic as they travel to Dens Park on Sunday afternoon.
And music legend Sir Rod hopes that he doesn't cause his team too much damage in their title bid, while also holding out hope that he could turn out in Celtic colours next season.
He told talkSPORT Breakfast: "We can't take our foot off the pedal that's the thing. Dundee could be a problem.
"Have you seen this young kid [Luke] McCowan? He plays for Dundee. Wow. He is superb, I hope Celtic have got their eye on him."
Sir Rod attended Celtic's last game, which was a thrilling Scottish Cup tie against Aberdeen at Hampden on Saturday.
He was at the national stadium with his two sons, as the game finished 3-3 before the Hoops progressed to the final with a penalty shootout win.
The Scot added: "They were outstanding I actually felt a bit sorry for the Aberdeen supporters, they deserved a little bit more than that. If they can keep that up next year then they are going to be a top-four team, they were brilliant."
