Mikey Johnston has posted a heartfelt message to Celtic fans following his departure from Parkhead to West Bromwich Albion.
After several seasons in and around the Celtic first-team, Johnston signed for West Brom last week on a permanent basis, having enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Hawthorns between January and May of last season.
A product of the Celtic youth academy, Johnston made his debut for the senior side under Brendan Rodgers during the manager's first spell in charge of the club, in a 4-1 home win over St Johnstone in May 2017.
Posted alongside a showreel spotlighting some of his favourite moments in green and white, the 25-year-old said: "It’s hard to say goodbye. I feel very fortunate to have been able to play for Celtic. I’ve lived my dream, playing just one minute would have been enough.
"Thank you to everyone at the club for helping me grow as a player and as a person throughout the years. Thank you to the fans who supported me through the good times and the bad.
"Looking forward to a new chapter now and going back to being a Celtic fan again. Hail hail, MJ."
As can be seen above in the replies, a number of Celtic players past and present sent their well wishes, with the club's official account itself wishing the former academy star all the best at his new club.
