Celtic have won their first Matchday One Champions League tie since 2001.
After 12 failed attempts, the Scottish Premiership champions have finally got that monkey off the back and broken the appalling record.
Brendan Rodgers beamed with delight from the Parkhead touchline this evening as goals from Liam Scales, Kyogo, Arne Engels, Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah saw the Hoops run out comfortable 5-1 winners against Slovakian minnows Slovan Bratislava.
Staggeringly, the strikes also saw the Hoops score their first opening matchday goals in 18 years.
