As Celtic prepare to host Club Brugge in the Champions League tonight (Wednesday), travelling fans are beginning to arrive in Glasgow's city centre.

3,000 Club Brugge fans are expected inside Parkhead come kick-off (8pm UK time), where they'll have a job on their hands making themselves heard against an inevitably excited and vocal majority around them.

Two of those Belgian fans were stopped at the Christmas market in St Enoch square by Belgian media outlet HLN, both wearing Club Brugge scarves and tartan 'see you Jimmy' hats to mark their arrival on Scottish soil.

When asked by the interviewer (translated via Google), "[the Celtic Park] atmosphere, what do you expect from it? It is said to be one of the loudest stadiums in Europe", one supporter said: "We were told it too. It should be worth it…

"We have indeed heard a lot from the supporters here, but we have a history of good support from Club Brugge. So I think we can make some noise here too, for sure.

"Nine points that would be needed. It might be a very important match today."

The fan was then pressed about the calibre of Club Brugge's opponents compared to Celtic - Brugge have so far played Borussia Dortmund, Sturm Graz, AC Milan and Aston Villa; and are yet to play Sporting Lisbon, Juventus and Manchester City .

On that, the fan added: "If you see our Champions League campaign, we played football everywhere.

"In Milan too. Too bad about the red card, because we participated perfectly.

"And everything is possible at home in Bruges. Everyone can enjoy [a win like] Villa there. A team that competes at the top of England."
